1. Getting started

The app's Home page has a five-step setup guide. In short:

  1. Create a wholesale group (Wholesale groups → Create group): a name, a customer tag such as wholesale, and a discount.
  2. Add the order grid: Home → Open theme editor opens your product template with the Wholesale order grid block ready to place. Save the theme.
  3. Choose what retail shoppers see in Settings: your normal store, an invitation to apply, or wholesale only.
  4. Check your application form (Applications → Edit application form).
  5. Place a test order: add your group's tag to a test customer, log in to your store as that customer, order from the grid and open checkout. Each line shows the wholesale discount.

2. Wholesale groups and volume tiers

A group is a customer tag plus a discount. Everyone with the tag gets the group's prices in the grid and at checkout, with no discount code. Each group can have:

Tags match without regard to capital letters. If a customer has tags for two groups, they get the group with the bigger discount.

Settings → Products that always sell at full price excludes collections (gift cards are always excluded), and Don't give wholesale discounts on items already on sale leaves sale prices alone.

3. Custom prices and CSV import

For negotiated prices, open Prices, pick a product, and type an exact price per variant for each group (or use “fill column at X% off”). A custom price wins over the group discount and quantity breaks, and is never higher than the regular price.

To update many products at once: Prices → Download template lists every variant (up to 5,000) with a column per group. Fill it in a spreadsheet and import it. Rows match by Variant ID or SKU; commas, semicolons, tabs and decimal commas all work. Leave a cell empty to keep the current price.

4. Order rules

Order rules apply to wholesale buyers only and are checked by Shopify's checkout, so they can't be skipped. Retail shoppers are never affected.

The grid shows the rules before checkout (“Minimum 12 units”, “Sold in multiples of 6”). If a cart breaks a rule, checkout explains how to fix it, for example “order in multiples of 6 (you have 8, try 6 or 12)”.

5. Applications and approval

Your application form lives at https://your-store.com/apps/wholesale/apply, inside your store's design. Link to it from your menu or footer.

6. Order grid and storefront

The app adds blocks you place in the theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize):

Colours: Settings → Storefront order grid offers five palettes, “Match my theme”, or your own brand colour. Storefront text is available in English, Spanish, French, German and Arabic and follows your store's language.

7. Payment and shipping rules

On Payment and shipping, make rules like “payment methods whose name contains Invoice → only for the Wholesale group” or “shipping options containing Express → everyone except Wholesale”. Create the manual payment method (for example “Invoice (Net 30)”) in Shopify Settings → Payments first. The app never hides every option, so checkout can't get stuck.

8. Shopify B2B companies

If your plan includes Shopify B2B, a group can create a B2B company when you approve a buyer, with payment terms and optional draft-order review. Company buyers normally pay their catalog prices; turn on Use this group's prices and order rules for its companies too to give them your group prices and order rules instead.

9. Plan and billing

One plan, $29 per month, with a 14-day free trial. Shopify bills it with your store subscription. Development stores can use the app free of charge.

10. Uninstalling

Apps → B2B Wholesale Quick-Order Grid → Uninstall. The theme blocks disappear with the app and nothing is left in your theme code. The app's checkout discount and rules are removed, and your data is deleted from our servers within 48 hours, as Shopify requires. Customer tags you added stay on your customers.
